The Mission of the East End Seaport Museum and Marine Foundation is to recognize, restore and preserve the maritime heritage of the East End of Long Island, New York. In Greenport, we operate the East End Seaport Museum on the waterfront with its maritime exhibits and collections. At the Village Blacksmith Shop, our blacksmith conducts demonstrations of iron working with hands-on experiences for children . Offshore we own, operate, and maintain the historic Long Beach Bar (Bug) Lighthouse. Bug Light is the gateway to Greenport, Shelter Island, and Peconic Bay and we are proud to be the stewards of this working navigational structure.
